Welcome to Amarin Cattery
Amarin is a small cattery situated to the north of Adelaide, South Australia. After having a half-Siamese cat as a child, it was only natural after moving to SA that I acquired a Chocolate Smoke Oriental, Brugee Calypso Sherman. After getting him a series of little friends I was introduced to showing cats by David and Josephine Williams of Daphine Cattery. My first show cats were Daphine Time Will Tell (Timmy) and Daphine Leonardo da Vinci (Leon), pictured below.

By the end of Timmy's career he was a Bronze Double Grand Champion, but he was often overshadowed by Leonardo, who achieved his ACF Award of Excellence (Bronze Level), 2 GCCFSA Golden Awards and several Supreme Exhibits, as well as placing in the top 10 at 2 National Shows (including a first at the 2004 ACF).
During all this, I found time to lease Daphine Arcturus, who is the mother of GCh Daphine Arcturan Legend, and a ferocious devourer of roast chicken!
One thing has led to another, and now I find myself breeding these beautiful cats, specialising in Oriental Longhairs, Foreign White Longhairs and Shorthairs, and Balinese. Of course, I do also seem to have a few shorthaired Oriental and Siamese about the place, as they are essential to the breeding of type in the longhairs. While temperament and health are paramount (and type!), I am also aiming to breed ticked Oriental Longhairs and shorthairs, Tabby Point Balinese, Classic Tabby Oriental Longhairs and Cinnamon Oriental Longhairs and Cinnamon Point Balinese. Nobody said it would be easy, but it's very rewarding living with these amazing cats!

BDGCh Leura Cheyenne Warrior, our foundation Balinese Stud (Seal Point). Chey was kindly gifted to us by Marie Harrison of Ballina Cattery.
Danny (Siandor Blythe Spirit) was one of my first queens and was gifted to me by Christine Bentley of Siandor Cattery.
